Help us Light the Way during our 2021-22 Community Campaign Kickoff. Visit UnitedWaySEM.org/LightTheWay to tune in at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12!
This virtual event will premiere at 11 a.m. and celebrate all that we accomplished together over the past year. It will also serve as the official kick off for our fundraising and volunteerism goals for the year ahead.
The event will feature comments from several notable people in Southeastern Michigan, including our campaign co-chairs, DTE president and CEO Jerry Norcia, and Bishop Edgar Vann of Second Ebenezer Church. United Way board chair and president and COO of Power and Industrial at DTE Mark Stiers, United Way President and CEO Dr. Darienne Hudson, Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan and Oakland County officials Dave Coulter and Dave Woodward will also be on hand.
You’ll also get a glimpse into the work of several of our community partners and one of our new Community Schools, Stevenson Elementary in Southfield.
Lastly, we’ll light the United Way torch in downtown Detroit — a symbol of the community celebrations of the past that we hope to soon again safely share.
We hope you can join us!
