  • The Rocket Mortgage Classic made history in 2019 as the first PGA TOUR® event ever held in the city of Detroit. The event has continued to make a positive and lasting impact on the city and its residents through its multiyear “Changing the Course “campaign, established in 2020 to end the digital divide in Detroit and ensure digital accessibility for all city residents.

    The Rocket Giving Fund (501c3) – the nonprofit host organization of the Rocket Mortgage Classic – in partnership with title sponsor Rocket Mortgage, has invested more than $6.8 million into nonprofit organizations, including more than $3.8 million through the Changing the Course initiative.

    The Rocket Mortgage Classic's "Changing the Course" initiative is committed to providing Detroit residents access to the internet, technology and digital literacy training they need to thrive. Through its support for the tournament's primary beneficiary, the Connect 313 Fund, the Rocket Mortgage Classic has helped grow the number of digitally included homes in Detroit from 40% to more than 70% over the last four years.
