The start of the new year is a natural time to reflect on the accomplishments and challenges of the year just passed and to recommit ourselves to our mission to serve in the year to come.
I am so proud of the work we accomplished to make Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties stronger in 2022. We continued to invest in serving families’ basic needs, supporting educational opportunities for all children, and worked to support the mental and physical health and well-being of our region’s most vulnerable residents.
I am excited to get back to work as President and CEO of United Way for Southeastern Michigan after taking a leave of absence to welcome my son into this world. I am honored and humbled to continue serving our community and ensuring that we are creating a better world for all children for generations to come.
As we go full steam ahead into 2023, I would like to invite you to join United Way in our continued efforts to make our community stronger. The work we do is powered by hundreds of partners and thousands of donors, advocates and volunteers who give their time, energy, and donations.
