I’m not much of a runner. To me, that’s what makes Run United so amazing. There are so many ways to get involved. It can be as easy as tracking miles during the course of your regular day, or as difficult as running a full marathon all at once.

I track my daily miles during morning walks with BoBo – my Texas-born, adopted dog who I like to describe as part Labrador, part goofball.  He is a great teammate, even when there are squirrels, and makes sure I’m getting in my steps.

Building community is an important part of what we do at Bosch. Our associates volunteer with nonprofits they are passionate about. Bosch locations donate to organizations that impact their neighborhoods. And the Bosch Community Fund, which is celebrating 10 years of giving this fall, provides funding to organizations and educational institutions in 39 site communities.

Run United is a great way for Bosch associates to engage in southeast Michigan by providing books, backpacks and contributions to Community Schools. It’s about more than donating money, it’s about our associates getting involved in the causes they care about. I love the enthusiasm of our team year after year – several people signed up within minutes of receiving our first Run United invite.

Our associates are also excited to support literacy and education as a Free Little Library sponsor. We’ll soon be using our building skills to install 10 libraries in local areas that lack access to books, but first, we’ve got miles to track. BoBo and I will see you at the finish line!
