Creating Youth Opportunity

United Way for Southeastern Michigan believes learning begins at birth and that all children deserve quality education and growth experiences that will help them reach their full potential.

Helping Children in our Community

Our early childhood initiatives make quality child care more accessible and affordable to all – providing training and support for families and providers and connecting families to the child care options and available financial support that best meets their needs. Our work continues with literacy and education support to address the gaps in access and resources that traditional systems may not always reach. Through our in-school and out-of-school supports, we focus on strengthening the whole child, preparing them to learn, grow and succeed in a rapidly changing world.
