Join us for the ninth annual Women of Influence Summit, set for Friday, March 14, at MotorCity Casino. This year’s keynote speaker is Donna Orender. Donna is the former WNBA President, spent 17 years working for the PGA Tour and is the bestselling author of “Wowsdom! The Girl’s Guide to the Positive and the Possible.”
Each year, this event celebrates International Women’s Day and raises funds for early childhood education. Hosted by United Way for Southeastern Michigan’s Women United philanthropic group, the summit has raised more than $1.6 million to support children, families and caregivers in our community since its inception.
More than 400 households in Southwest Detroit have recently been impacted by flooding. Volunteers are needed to help perform wellness visits, organize donations and assemble and deliver care packages.
