Use Your Voice To Create Change

Advocate with United Way in support of policies that change our community for the better.

Why Advocacy?

At United Way, we believe that effective policy is crucial to creating long-lasting positive change in our community. That’s why we advocate for local, state and federal policies that help families move from crisis to stability and from stability to prosperity. We work directly with local officials and state and federal legislators in Lansing and Washington, D.C., to speak out on the policies that have the greatest impact on individuals, children and families in Southeastern Michigan.

We activate our network of thousands of dedicated advocates to mobilize around issues like health care, food security and helping Michigan workers get good-paying jobs.
