We are not currently accepting MEAP (Michigan Energy Assistance Program) applications at United Way for Southeastern Michigan.

We understand how frustrating this may be, and our team is working diligently to process current applications.

Please check back on this website for updates on when we will reopen. In the meantime, you can contact 2-1-1 for information about other MEAP agencies that may be accepting applications.

We are still accepting Water Assistance applications for Oakland and Washtenaw County residents through our WRAP and HAP programs.

Water and Sewer Assistance

United Way can provide assistance for water bills for residents of Oakland and Washtenaw counties. Both counties can apply for the Water Residential Assistance Program (WRAP). Oakland County residents can also apply for the Hardship Assistance Program (HAP).

  • Pay stubs/benefit statements or SER approval letter for the last 30 days

Once United Way has received your application, please allow 10 business days for processing.
