Proposal Opportunities

United Way’s funding framework is designed to resource and engage a coordinated network of partners providing complementary services under a shared vision to help households living below the ALICE threshold move from crisis to stability and from stability to prosperity in Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties.

2025-26 Grant Awards

This year, United Way is pleased to announce an investment of $5.2 million in grants to a diverse group of organizations providing critical services and support to individuals and families in our region. Together, we will work to create a better future in Southeastern Michigan.

Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2025-26 investment cycle.

To learn more about our funding framework check out the information below about out three grant programs:

  • Community Access & Response Fund: Designed to provide flexible funding for organizations meeting immediate, more acute needs of individuals and families.
  • Wraparound Services & Stability Fund: Flexible funding for organizations or established collaboratives providing wraparound services to stabilize individuals and families.
  • Connect4Care & Systems Change Fund: Funding for regionally recognized institutions or collaboratives to address the systemic issues that are driving up the number of ALICE households and connect individuals to more integrated, seamless and dignified systems of care that support lasting, long-term stability for individuals and families at scale.
