Helping Wayne County children
United Way for Southeastern Michigan’s Building Foundations program helps at-risk children between the ages of 7 and 17 in Wayne County. Services include anger management and conflict resolution, tutoring, mentoring, career development, life-skills coaching and more.
Established in 2005, the program helps children at risk of child abuse and neglect, out-of-home placement and entry into the juvenile justice system.
We bring partners, funding and expertise together to serve more than 2,500 children each year. Program participants must remain drug free, improve school attendance and performance and remain free of violent and criminal behavior.
