Disaster Response and Preparedness

United Way and Verizon have partnered to launch a Disaster Response and Preparedness program to help provide timely, effective, sustainable assistance when crisis strikes.

We are proud to partner with Verizon to make a significant investment in disaster preparedness in our region. This partnership will help ensure communities are better prepared for emergencies now and are stronger when disaster strikes in the future.

We’ll work together with partner organizations and use United Way programs like 2-1-1, our Community Fulfillment Center and more to make an impact in this area. By focusing on preparedness, we aim to reduce the long-term impacts of disaster, shorten recovery timelines, build resilience and save lives.
