This is a Critical Election Year: YOUR VOTE MATTERS!
This year, voters across the state will decide who will make crucial decisions impacting affordable housing, inflation and community safety in Michigan for years to come. Voters will have the chance to cast their ballots for:
• Governor
• U.S. Senator
• State Representative
• State Senator
• Local officials
• You’ll also have the chance to directly vote on new laws.
Important election dates
Oct. 19: Last day to register to vote online or by mail.
Oct. 20: This is the last day recommended to return a ballot by mail.
Oct. 24-Nov. 1: Statewide in-person early voting!
Nov. 2: 4 p.m. is the deadline to vote in person, with an absentee ballot, at your city or township clerk’s office if you’re registered to vote where you live. (After this, you must vote at your polling place on Election Day.)
Nov. 3: Election Day
Anyone can vote absentee in Michigan, and you can register to vote up to or even on Election Day at your local clerk’s office. Check out the resources below to find out where and how to vote and to see what’s on your ballot.
