United Way hosting career fair for DPSCD students

– United Way is helping nearly 2,500 freshmen from dozens of Detroit public schools begin the path to success.

United Way for Southeastern Michigan is hosting its first-ever Find Your Future: Career Exploration Fair. The fair will help set high school freshmen on a path toward success.

Tammie Jones, the Vice President of Education with United Way, and Alycia Meriweather, the deputy superintendent of Detroit Public Schools Community District, joined us in studio to tell us more about the fair. You can hear from them in the video player above.

The Find Your Future: Career Exploration Fair takes place on Friday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center.
