United Way earns prestigious awards highlighting its video work

United Way for Southeastern Michigan is pleased to announce recognition by The Telly Awards for excellence in video. The organization received notice of the prestigious honor which includes two Bronze Telly awards for United Way videos in two separate categories: non-broadcast general charitable for Access for All: A Story of Hope; and non-broadcast general not-for-profit for 2017 Brand Anthem: On Our Way.

Since 1979, the Telly Awards annually showcases the best within television and across video for all screens. Each year, more than 12,000 entries from 50 states and five continents are received, and Telly Award winners represent work from some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies and publishers. United Way proudly shares this honor with two award-winning local production houses: Cutters Studios located in Oak Park (“A Story of Hope’); and Imagination The Americas, Inc. (“On Our Way”) located in Dearborn.

Although a first for United Way to receive Telly Awards, the use of video is an integral part of the organization’s strategy to continually share its impact in underserved communities throughout the tri-counties to current and future donors, advocates and volunteers.
