I am passionate about the City of Detroit! We have four seasons, a beautiful waterfront, a rich history and some amazing architecture. I love seeing the renewed energy and focus on growth in the city and surrounding communities. We need to build a strong foundation for the community to thrive, and United Way plays a big role in that.
Donna Satterfield is vice president of community impact at United Way for Southeastern Michigan. She joined the organization in October 2017 and ensures strategic operations for call center services, community engagement initiatives, nonprofit partner engagement, research and data, and information technology.
Prior to joining United Way, Donna worked at IBM for 30 years across multiple industries. Most recently, she led the automotive, aerospace and defense industries for Global Business Services, during which she led multiple transformations both internally for IBM and externally for clients.
Donna holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in organizational communication. She attended the University of Michigan and Wayne State University.
She is an advisory board member for the Michigan Council of Women in Technology, chair for major events for Toys for Tots and a former board member for the Detroit Economic Club,
