Fifth annual Women of Influence Summit
Fri Mar 5, 2021 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 am
Join United Way for Southeastern Michigan to celebrate International Women’s Day at our fifth annual Women of Influence Summit presented by DTE.
Hosted by United Way's Women United group, the virtual 2021 summit is set for Friday, March 5. Women United is a force of women leaders who make an impact through philanthropy, volunteerism and advocacy. This group is dedicated to supporting women, early education providers and children in Southeastern Michigan.
Keynote speaker Austin Channing Brown is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of “I’m Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness.” Austin mixes humor, pop culture, storytelling and audience engagement to awaken people to the realities of systemic racism and the everyday actions which make it possible.
Although this year’s event will take place online, you’ll still have the chance to network virtually and engage with some of the most interesting women in Southeastern Michigan.
Though we won’t be in person this year, we hope you'll consider donating the usual ticket price of $100 or a smaller amount if you'd prefer. All event proceeds will support United Way’s early childhood development programs, which connect parents and caregivers with the tools they need to help their children learn and grow.
