Las personas pobres y de color son m\u00e1s propensas a ser arrestadas, condenadas y sentenciadas con dureza. En la actualidad, m\u00e1s de 225 000 mujeres se encuentran encarceladas.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nLa organizaci\u00f3n Ending Mass Incarceration se\u00f1ala: \u201cEn ning\u00fan \u00e1mbito de la sociedad estadounidense son m\u00e1s evidentes los legados de la esclavitud y el racismo que en el sistema penal.
