Hoy examinaremos c\u00f3mo sus identidades se relacionan con los privilegios y el poder para mantener los sistemas de opresi\u00f3n.\r\n\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<strong>Privilegio <\/strong>es el acceso o las ventajas inmerecidas que se conceden a determinados grupos de personas por su pertenencia a un grupo social. Los privilegios pueden basarse en diversas identidades sociales, como la raza, el g\u00e9nero, la religi\u00f3n, la situaci\u00f3n socioecon\u00f3mica, la capacidad, la sexualidad, la edad, el nivel educativo y otras. En Estados Unidos, los miembros de los grupos sociales que gozan de privilegios (blancos, hombres, ricos, sin discapacidades, etc.) han ejercido hist\u00f3ricamente su dominio y poder sobre los grupos marginados. (Para ver algunos ejemplos de c\u00f3mo se manifiestan los privilegios y obtener m\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n para comprenderlos, consulte el desaf\u00edo del a\u00f1o pasado en <a href=\"https:\/\/unitedwaydet.wpenginepowered.com\/equity_challenge\/day-3-what-is-privilege\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Privilegio<\/a>Los privilegios (o la falta de ellos) que nos otorgan nuestras identidades tambi\u00e9n pueden agravarse y tener implicaciones a\u00fan m\u00e1s trascendentales en los sistemas de poder. Este concepto de interseccionalidad se explorar\u00e1 en los pr\u00f3ximos d\u00edas.\r\n\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\nAl hablar de privilegios, tambi\u00e9n debemos comprender su relaci\u00f3n con el poder. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clasp.org\/our-ground-our-voices-young-women-color\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">El Centro para el Derecho y las Pol\u00edticas Sociales<\/a> define <strong>Sistemas de poder<\/strong> \u201cLas creencias, pr\u00e1cticas y normas culturales sobre las que se construyen las vidas e instituciones de los individuos. Est\u00e1n arraigadas en las construcciones sociales de raza y g\u00e9nero y entrelazadas en la historia (colonizaci\u00f3n, esclavitud, migraci\u00f3n, inmigraci\u00f3n, genocidio), pol\u00edticas y pr\u00e1cticas actuales. Estos sistemas de poder refuerzan la supremac\u00eda blanca, el patriarcado y la heteronormatividad como estructuras de poder definitorias en los Estados Unidos...\u201d\r\n\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\nEl poder existe a nivel personal, interpersonal e institucional, y puede manifestarse como acceso a recursos, puestos de toma de decisiones, visibilidad o validaci\u00f3n. Es importante se\u00f1alar que todas las personas tienen poder personal. Tambi\u00e9n tenemos poder colectivo cuando trabajamos en grupo, y este poder puede ser contra la opresi\u00f3n o a favor de ella. Nuestra pertenencia a grupos de identidad social (raza, g\u00e9nero, edad, etc.) influye en el tipo de poder que podemos tener en la sociedad.\r\n\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\nHoy, le animamos a que examine su propia historia y experiencias para comprender c\u00f3mo el poder, los privilegios y la opresi\u00f3n se han manifestado en su vida.
