Cuando los ni\u00f1os enfrentan hambre, es m\u00e1s probable que experimenten un menor rendimiento acad\u00e9mico, problemas de comportamiento y desaf\u00edos de salud f\u00edsica y mental. A partir de 2021, casi un tercio de los ni\u00f1os peque\u00f1os no consumi\u00f3 una fruta diariamente, y casi la mitad no consumi\u00f3 una verdura diariamente. Nuestros ni\u00f1os merecen comidas que no solo les llenen el est\u00f3mago, sino que satisfagan sus necesidades nutricionales.\n\nDos programas cr\u00edticos en nuestro estado ayudan a abordar estos problemas al brindar acceso a comidas saludables para los estudiantes:\r\n\r\n<b>Comidas escolares para todos:<\/b> Durante los \u00faltimos tres a\u00f1os, nuestro estado ha proporcionado desayuno y almuerzo gratuitos a todos los estudiantes, independientemente del distrito escolar o el nivel de ingresos. Proporcionar acceso universal mejora el acceso al servicio para todos los que lo necesitan, elimina el estigma y mejora la eficiencia de las escuelas, al tiempo que proporciona un valioso apoyo a todos los ni\u00f1os y familias.\r\n\r\n<b>10 centavos por comida:<\/b> Sin embargo, proporcionar \u00fanicamente alimentos es solo una parte; tambi\u00e9n debemos garantizar el acceso a alimentos saludables.
