Alicia Selig is a finance manager for Ryder. She is married with two rescue dogs whom she likes to spoil!
When did you first start supporting United Way? Why did you join EP?
I started supporting United Way about five years ago, and joined EP four years ago. I joined EP because I am really excited about the work United Way is doing and wanted to be more involved. I thought EP would be the right affinity group for me and wanted to get to know other like-minded individuals.
What was your most memorable volunteering experience?
I volunteered at the Atlanta Humane Society for several years walking and playing with the adult dogs and absolutely loved getting to know the dogs’ personalities over time and giving them a fun break. My favorite thing was coming in each weekend to see which dogs were no longer there because they had been adopted.
What is your favorite pastime / hobby?
I love to go antiquing and to flea markets, and find treasures to refinish or display.
