Summertime reading is important!
That’s why United Way for Southeastern Michigan President and CEO Dr. Herman Gray took time to read to kids while appearing at the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy’s Rhythm & Reading on the Riverfront event on July 13.
The program takes place in Rivard Plaza Thursdays and Fridays through Aug. 11 and provides plenty of fun. Children get a chance to see live entertainment, hear a story read by a local community leader as well as receive a free book. And they also get to take a ride on the Cullen Family Carousel.
What books did you read with your kids this summer?
