We've partnered with General Motors to offer the award-winning software ABCmouse to families for free at all Detroit Public Libraries.

Bring home a love of learning with ABCMouse—for free!

Thanks to a partnership with United Way and a $650,000 investment made by our partner General Motors, all Detroit Public Libraries now offer ABCmouse’s award-winning software to families as part of our Education work to increase childhood literacy rates.

Children 2-8 years old can learn with 9,000+ activities covering language arts, math, science, health, social studies, art and music and more!

Here’s how to sign up:

  1. You must be a Detroit Public Library member. Library cards are available to all residents and certain non-residents. Click here for more information on becoming a member.
  2. Go to any Detroit Public Library branch and ask to check out ABCmouse. You can use the tool at the library or receive a code to use it on your device at home.
  3. Start having fun and learning with your child!
